Usually, for a Friday release advance bookings open on Monday, while multiplexes open booking counters on Wednesday.

“Owing to strong buzz and humungous inquiries from patrons, we opened the advance booking for ‘Talaash’ on Sunday pan India at all our Cinemax multiplexes,” said Girish Wankhede, national marketing head, Cinemax India Ltd., in a statement.

“The response was quite amazing as we were able to book around 700 tickets on the very first day. Lot of corporate bookings and bulk bookings are also happening. We are very upbeat and foresee another big blockbuster,” he added.

Shashank Raizada, managing director of capital-based Delite Cinema, said: “We had to open the advance booking of Talaash one day earlier, on Sunday, as people were coming and asking for tickets. Actually in reality, we started getting many block bookings almost 15 days ago. Our conventional booking has also been very good.”
