Police detains actor Inder Kumar for alleged rape charges

Actor Inder Kumar who was last seen in Salman Khan's Wanted was detained by Versova police for allegedly sexually assaulting a 23-year-old female model.

Actor Inder Kumar who was last seen in Salman Khan's Wanted was detained by Versova police for allegedly sexually assaulting a 23-year-old female model.

After the model filed a complaint, the police booked Kumar on charges of rape. According to a DNA report, the actor has been charged under sections 376 (Rape), 324 (causing grevious hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

According to an Indian Express report, the victim in her complaint had alleged that Kumar promised her a lead role in films and urged her to live with him at his Andheri flat.

Police told DNA that reportedly Kumar had a tiff with his wife Pallavi, following which Pallavi came to Versova police station to lodge a complaint against Kumar and also alleged that he is having an affair with another woman. However, Kumar followed her and talked her out of filing a complaint and the couple went back home.

After Kumar reached home, he reportedly called on the model at his Andheri house and allegedly abused her physically with a broken beer bottle and also sexually abused her. The model has been sent for a medical examination.
