Pehredaar Piya Ki to return for season 2 post time-leap; Rohit Suchanti may play male lead

Pehredaar Piya Ki is all set to return to the small screen for its second season after having had a short lived first season. [caption id=“attachment_3932549” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Still from the show. File image.[/caption] The show will reportedly take a time-leap and once again have Diya and Ratan’s story at its nucleus, however this time Ratan will be a man in his 20s, while Diya will be somewhere in her 30s. It is also being speculated that Rohit Suchanti of Saath Nibhana Saathiya fame will be taking on role of the show’s male lead, opposite Tejaswi Prakash who will be continuing as the female protagonist from the first season. “Rohit fits the bill of a young boy, who looks like he has returned from abroad and yet has a royal regal persona. Both the leads will have a very grand look, while Tejasswi will don traditional attires, Rohit’s character will have a modern chic avatar," said an unverified source, according to an Indian Express report. The show’s story line will apparently be based on Ratan’s return from a foreign university and the turn that Diya and Ratan’s relationship will take upon the return, keeping in mind that they are married. This season of the show will reportedly delve into the challenges that the two characters will face in their relationship.
