Papon censured for kissing minor girl: Celebrities tweet their views on recent controversy

Papon has been in the eye of a storm ever since a video of him kissing a minor girl, who is among the contestants he mentors on the reality show The Voice India Kids, went viral. Many celebrities, social activists, journalists and political leaders have slammed the singer for his behaviour.

Raveena Tandon is one of the Bollywood personalities who spoke strongly against Papon’s behavior. She called the singer’s actions “disgusting, shameful, and perverse.”

Many conveyed their disbelief after seeing the video and condemned Papon’s actions unequivocally.

Film director Ashoke Pandit had some choice words for Papon.

Director Farah Khan too weighed in on the controversy.
