Pahlaj Nihalani, Chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification (like you didn’t know that by now), might just have pulled his ultimate ~troll~ trump card to rule all. The “sanskari” censor board chief, who came recently came into the limelight for all the
wrong reasons
, has decided upon and registered the name for his next project. [caption id=“attachment_2537872” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]
Pahlaj Nihalani. Firstpost[/caption] Now here, we will give you a chance to guess it. (Hint: the word has already been used in the copy.) And bravo, your bright mind have guessed it: Sanskari it is. “Yes, I have registered the title, it’s a good one,” he confirmed in an
interview with Mumbai Mirror
, and followed the revelation with reasoning so sound, it will make you want to make him make that movie right now: “If you can have a film titled Sanyasi, why can’t you have one called Sanskari?” And what makes this even more in-your-face is the fact that Nihalani has not come up with a subject or a plot for it. “Title bahut achcha hai, ab kuch sochenge (the title is very good, we’ll think of something now). I write my own scripts so I’ll come up with something myself.” Wow, right there, just right there, in this notion of pulling the script out of the title’s *** (word censored in spirit of Nihalani), this guy’s made me so nostalgic of my college days. And he managed to it with just a single word. One can only imagine what he will do with an entire script. Probably make one recall one’s past life. But it shouldn’t take Nihalani too long or too much effort to come up with a script. After all, he knows what to avoid. Everything’s good until the movie has some item numbers, some misogyny, and of course a little sexism never hurts. All one needs to avoid are some long lip-locks, and not be on the Board’s ~hit~
cuss list
. Well ~trolled~ played sir, well played.
