Oscars 2024: From Cillian Murphy to Emma Stone, here's what the actors wore at the red carpet

Hollywood’s biggest night, the 96th Academy Awards, was a star-studded affair with several prominent celebrities in attendance. The stars were seen showing up in their best outfits, turning a lot of heads on the red carpet with all the sequins, sparkles, and metallic colours. While the ladies looked ethereal in their glamourous avatars, the men also stood out in their formals, largely stuck to a black palette.

Clearly, the winner of the night, Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy made a style statement on the red carpet in a custom Atelier Versace suit paired with a gem brooch from Hong Kong-based designer Bertrand Mark’s Sauvereign.

Lily Gladstone was seen paying tribute to Native American design with her blue velvet Gucci gown, which was created in collaboration with Indigenous artist Joe Big Mountain.

Finally taking a break from the ‘Barbie’ pink, Margot Robbie made a striking entry in a shimmery black Versace gown combined with jewellery from Fred Leighton.

Nominated in the Best Actress category, Carey Mulligan was dressed in a custom Balenciaga gown. However, the main highlight was the classy flared mermaid skirt. Mulligan completed her look with black gloves and Fred Leighton jewellery.

Barbie star Ryan Gosling looked as dapper as ever in a custom Gucci suit lined with silver sequins.

Best Actress Award winner Emma Stone chose a custom Louis Vuitton gown that came with a flared peplum waist and shell detailing.

Keeping it quite simple and classic, Maestro actor Bradley Cooper wore a custom Louis Vuitton suit along with a Tambour watch.

Billie Eilish was seen paying homage to the preppy style of ‘Clueless’ with her ensemble. She wore a tweed blazer from Chanel along with tall socks and heeled Mary Jane shoes.

Clearly channeling Barbie vibes, America Ferrera looked dazzling in a shimmery pink gown.

Emily Blunt made her red carpet entry with her husband, John Krasinski, in matching cream outfits. While Emily chose a striking Schiaparelli gown, Krasinski chose a cream tuxedo.

One of the most surprising red carpet moments was from Vanessa Hudgens. The actress revealed her pregnancy in a full-length black gown from Vera Wang.
