Comedian Kevin Hart was initially announced as the host for the 2019 Oscars, however, three days later Hart stepped down following the resurfacing of homophobic tweets from his Twitter account. Currently, the latest news suggests that the Academy Awards may do away with a host first time in three decades, with a number of Hollywood A-list celebrities introducing various segments of the ceremony. It has also been reported that The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is trying to line up as many cast members as possible from Marvel’s Avengers franchise, to serve as presenters.
