The trailer of Once Upon A Deadpool was recently released and actor Ryan Renolds seems to have made quite an effort to keep actor Fred Savage from taking the popular franchise away from the PG-13 land. [caption id=“attachment_5647411” align=“alignnone” width=“825”] Still from Once Upon A Deadpool trailer. YouTube screengrab[/caption] The trailer depicts Reynolds and Savage in a partly confused-partly sarcastic conversation. Savage clearly has no idea what he is doing there and thus Deadpool enlightens him stating, “so I can read you the story of Deadpool 2 filtered through the prism of childlike innocence.” The reply does not go down well with Savage, who retaliates by trying to say “what the f***”. Reynolds immediately interjects and stops Fred from speaking the F-word— “the only F-bomb we’re using around here is Fred Savage.”
Once Upon A Deadpool will introduce Deadpool 2 to new audiences, who had been hindered from watching screenings of the film due to its R-rating. Fox has been waiting for quite some time to make a PG-13 version of the franchise. The description with the video added that Reynolds agreed to the production house’s deal only on fulfillment of two conditions — that a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity and that Fred Savage was kidnapped. Once Upon A Deadpool is scheduled to release in December. Watch the trailer here.
