For those of you who thought we left shocking deaths behind us in 2016, you were wrong. Revered actor Om Puri passed away on Friday morning, 6 January, after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Om Puri had made his mark in mainstream, Indian and International films during the entire course of his career. Different cine-goers have different favourite films of the actor, while his most famous films have been Maqbool, Chachi 420, East is East, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Maachis, Pyaar Toh Hona Hi Tha, Yuva, The Reluctant Fundamentalist, and most recently, he gave his voice for the Hindi version of The Jungle Book as Bagheera.
He will be seen in Salman Khan’s upcoming film Tubelight posthumously.
