From inaugurating the Rs 100 crore club to achieving the 1000 crore mark, the journey of films from across the country has indeed turned out to be an exceptional one.

While many Indian films have crossed the 1000 crore mark at the global box office, the club was inaugurated by SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 aka Baahubali: The Conclusion . During its theatrical run, it became the first Indian film to enter the thousand crore club and went on to earn around Rs 1800 crore. However, Aamir Khan’s Dangal shattered its record after it released in China and ended its lifetime collection with around Rs 1970 crore.

After the film’s release, during the Facebook interaction, Anushka said, “The toughest challenge for me was to play the love interest of Amarendra Baahubali and also the mother to Mahendra Baahubali. But for Rajamouli, I would not have been able to pull off this challenge.”

Apart from Baahubali 2 and Dangal, Indian films, which earned over Rs 1000 crore globally are RRR, KGF 2, Jawan and Pathaan.
