No Oscar for Bombay Jayashri, Adele wins for original song

Los Angeles: Indian vocalist Bombay Jayashri, who was nominated in the best original song category at the 85th Academy Awards for her track “Pi Lullaby” from “Life of Pi”, lost the trophy to British singer Adele, who took home the statuette for “Skyfall”. However, “Life of Pi” won the best music - original score award. The Oscar award for best music - original score went to Mychael Danna for “Life of Pi”, about the journey of an Indian boy who survives a storm at sea.
