Manoj Bajpayee is one of the most versatile actors we have in the Hindi film industry. He has completed more than three decades in Bollywood. And of late, many celebrities have fallen victims to AI, deepfake videos and fake pictures. And the Raajneeti star is the new victim.
The actor’s deepfake pictures and videos are circulating that suggest that he has joined the Rashtriya Janata Dal party but he has tweeted there’s no truth to the story.
Bajpayee tweeted- “I would like to publicly state that I have no association or allegiance with any political party. The video being circulated is a fake, patched-up edit of an ad I did for
@PrimeVideoIN
. I sincerely appeal to everyone sharing it to stop spreading such distorted content and urge people not to engage with or encourage such misleading content."

How the rumours started
Manoj Bajpayee’s tweet came after a parody account named after RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav posted a video of the actor endorsing the party ahead of next month’s Bihar Assembly polls.
The actor has also spoken about his differences with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. Bajpayee revealed, “Anurag is standing because of his own conviction. He’s made too many enemies in the process. He’s broken glasses, he’s broken his own hand in anger, he’s fallen sick, but he’s stuck to his guns. He can be a better example for all filmmakers. Because they’re only looking at his films. But they should look at his journey and learn from him.”
