Director Shiv Rawail is over the moon that his idol Shah Rukh Khan has watched his project, the global hit series from YRF, The Railway Men & loved it too. The director revealed, “The best message of appreciation that I have got so far has to be from my cinematic icon Shah Rukh sir! Shah Rukh Khan and I met him recently and he said he loved the series. The industry has shown a lot of love and you know like for a debut director - I think it’s amazing to get that recognition. You feel really good about it, especially when your colleagues, your contemporaries, and people you have looked up to discuss it with you.” He added, “I worked with Shah Rukh sir as an AD on FAN - you know to hear from him that he really loves it and to get calls from other directors in the industry whose films you’ve seen and loved for years, it just feels amazing.” Also, in an exclusive interview with Firstpost, Shiv Rawail spoke about the show and said, “The two things that we did was that we were very clear with our intensions. We wanted to make it believable. And that meant working with the best crew, being produced by YRF what we needed to do to bring this project to the table and to the screen. So, they backed us with the best talent, crew and the teams that we wanted.” He added, “Secondly, we did a lot of research going into the smallest details of every nut and bolt of the factory to scouting locations, going to the Union Carbide factory in Bhopal and making a map of how things happened where did people go in from and escape from. We did extensive trips to Bhopal to figure this out.”
