Watch: 'Neruppu Da' teaser shows Rajinikanth at his electrifying best in 'Kabali'

We imagine that people — no, superstars — of Rajinikanth’s stature need a theme song. The song would possibly blare out magically every time they entered or exited a room, or generally did anything superstar-like. And Neruppu Da from Kabali is just the song we’d have picked to be Thalaivar’s theme song in real life too! [caption id=“attachment_2840246” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Rajinikanth in ‘Neruppu Da’ from ‘Kabali’[/caption] The full song audio was uploaded on YouTube on 11 June by Think Music and we were blown away by the hardcore rock riffs and those few glimpses of Rajinikanth in his suave Kabali avatar. The score by Santhosh Narayanan was all kinds of exciting. But then the Kabali team released a visual for the song as well on Thursday, 16 June — and boy, were we awestruck! (Read all about how this Rajinikanth super-fan is preparing for the Kabali release on 1 July 2016) It wasn’t even a full visual — just a 35 second teaser to the song, but revealing a lot more of Rajinikanth’s scenes in Kabali. We see him in three stages in this teaser — first as a young man, then a little older, and finally, in the snowy-haired avatar that has graced most of Kabali’s so-far-unveiled posters. Alongside Thalaivar, we also see Radhika Apte, Dhansika and Winston Chao (the Taiwanese actor who plays the villain in Kabali) in various sequences from the movie, in the Neruppu Da teaser. What else does the Neruppu Da teaser show us of Kabali? Lots of what we love Rajinikanth for: action, drama, style — and unimaginable levels of swag!
