What reviews are saying about 'Nayaki': Trisha scores, while editing lacks
Trisha's much- awaited horror comedy film Nayaki released on Friday. Directed by Goverdhan Reddy, the film also has Sushma Raj and Ganesh Venkatraman in lead roles.
While the bi- lingual's Telugu version has released, fans will have to wait for 29 July to watch the film in Tamil, which is called Nayagi.
But Trisha fans have something to be excited about. The actress will also be lending her voice for the song 'Bhayam.. bhayaym' in the film.
Speaking to IANS, Goverdhan had earlier said, “Trisha will be seen playing a 20-year-old. She has been preparing herself to look much younger over the last couple of months.”
The film is about Gayathri, who's soul has been haunting a village for 35 years and has been on a killing spree. Due to this the government has even restricted entry into the village.
The website allindiablog.org says, "Nayaki movie is the latest horror comedy flick with all the elements of fear, comedy and entertainment as well. This is a must watch film featuring Trisha in a different avatar." They have given the film a rating of 3/5.
Rating the movie as 3.5/5, Shubham Bahukhandi in a review for dekhnews.com says, "The movie is so good and is doing so good business at the box office. I am sure that you all are going to love this movie and that is amazing. I think the way makers presented the movie is so cool." According to him the positives in the film are the horror plot, the acting, screenplay and the story line, while the negatives are editing and direction.
The review by another website allindiaroundup.com has something similar to say, "The director has unveiled the new dimensions of Trisha’s acting in this film. Her acting is simply superb but the movie lacks in editing & screenplay. They have rated the film as 2.5/ 5.
