Radhika Apte starrer _Phobia_ was appreciated by many as the film took psychological thrillers in India to a whole new level. Firstpost had earlier reported that the sequel to _Phobia_ will not have Apte, rather, a male actor will replace the talented actress in the sequel. It seems like the makers’ search for an actor at par with Apte’s skills has ended as Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been finalised to play the lead in Phobia 2, as per Mumbai Mirror. Siddiqui, now, will play a man who has an irrational fear of flying, also known as aviophobia. According to producer Vicky Rajani, the actor has given his nod to the film and start working on it once the dates are worked out. Rajani also told Mumbai Mirror that the role required someone with eminent skills and depth as the subject of the film itself is so intricate. The makers felt that Siddiqui would be the best choice for the role, given how easily he slips himself into a character and how natural the output always is. The shooting will begin in either October or February as per Rajani. The film will be set in an airplane since it explores the fear of flying.
