The first official trailer for the horror comedy Nanu Ki Jaanu, starring Abhay Deol, was released on Monday.

Directed by Faraz Haider and written by Manu Rishi Chadha, the film tells the story of a ghost who falls in love with a crook. The trailer teases the after-life love story of Deol and Patralekhaa and promises to be a hilarious gagfest with silly, slapstick humour.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh last Friday had shared the poster on his official Twitter account. He also announced the release date for the film (20 April).

The film is being produced by Inbox Pictures.

Abhay, famous for his roles in Dev D and Ranjhanaa, will also be seen in Aanand L Rai's Zero alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anshka Sharma.

Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi, a sequel to the hit 2016 film Happy Bhag Jayegi in which he was last seen, is set to release on 24 August.

Abhay will also be making his Tamil acting debut in upcoming fantasy thriller Idhu Vedalam Sollum Kathai, where he will also be doubling up as the film's co-producer.

Nanu Ki Jaanu is slated to hit the screens on 20 April.
