Nani is dad to a baby boy: Nenu Local star and wife Anjana have had their first child

Telugu star Nani — last seen in Nenu Local — has become a father for the first time.

Nani and his wife Anjana welcomed a baby boy into their family on the morning of 29 March 2017, Tuesday. Anjana was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad where she delivered the baby. Both mother and child are said to be doing well while Nani himself has been described as being "over the moon" with happiness.

Nani and Anjana tied the knot in October 2012 after a courtship that lasted over five years.

Nani was busy with the shoot for Ninnu Kori, before the birth of his child. His latest film also stars Nivetha Thomas and is slated to release in July 2017.

Nani was a popular radio jockey and worked as an assistant director before making the shift to being in front of the camera. Ala Modalaindi in 2011 was his debut film, in which Nani starred opposite Nithya Menen.

While his last few films haven't earned glowing reviews, the unequivocal commercial success of Nenu Local has provided a fresh boost to Nani's star power.
