Nana Patekar slaps fan trying to take selfie; video leaves fans upset

Nana Patekar is busy shooting his next film in Varanasi. After wrapping up ‘The Vaccine War’, the actor is working on Anil Sharma’s next film ‘Journey’. Amid his busy schedule, Nana Patekar has now made it to the headlines for all the wrong reasons. As Nana Patekar is presently stationed in Varanasi, a video from the sets of his next film is going viral where he was spotted slapping an enthusiastic fan who came for a selfie. If reports are to be believed, the incident was captured on the route leading to the Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi. Shared largely across social media platforms, it shows the actor dressed in his character while following the director’s instructions. It is at that very moment when a young boy comes in with a mobile phone and tries to take a selfie. Visibly upset with the same, the actor immediately slapped the boy with quite force and aggression. The boy was later sent away from the spot. Watch:

As soon as the video was shared, unhappy fans were seen reacting to his actions. Many also slammed the actor for using such aggression toward the fan. Some also made fun of the incident by voicing Nana Patekar’s popular dialogue ‘Control Uday Control’. One wrote, “He got ultimate Nana experience,” while another one wrote, “Don’t disturb others for your likes/views.” “This is wrong of Nana Patekar to slap the fan. It is understandable that he got excited and entered into the frame. He should have politely asked him to go away but slapping is rude,” another one commented. “Imagine getting ready for shoot in a public place in costumes, taking retakes after retakes to get the best shoot. And suddenly one person comes in between to take selfie disturbing the whole shoot. Deserves chapaat,” a fan wrote in support of the actor. The video has gone largely viral on the internet, drawing reactions from fans. On the work front Last seen in Vivek Agnihotri’s _The Vaccine War_ , the actor was recently roped in for Anil Sharma’s Journey. The muhurat ceremony of the film was recently held which was attended by both Nana Patekar and Utkarsh. Besides that, he is also set to mark his OTT debut with Prakash Jha’s political thriller show ‘Laal Batti’. The actor made a lot of headlines earlier after his name was caught in the controversial #MeToo movement.
