Nana Patekar is gearing up to be seen on the big screen again after five years in Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War. At the trailer launch of the film, he spoke about the kind of films that are doing well at the box-office today. He said, “The kind of movies being made today are such that the other day I saw a recent hit film and I could not even sit through it. I feel by making such movies again and again, we force people to watch them.” Is it Gadar 2 or Jawan? Fans on social media are divided. Some said he was talking about Shah Rukh Khan’s _Jawan_ whereas some said he took a dig at Sunny Deol’s _Gadar 2_ . A user then pointed out that he couldn’t have been talking about the latter since he was the narrator of the film. Nana on nepotism He also spoke about nepotism in Bollywood and said, “I am an actor and tomorrow I will give my son many chances in films and force people to watch him, whether he deserves it or not. Some disgusting films are working and with time people will start saying they are good films as they will get used to seeing them.” On not doing Welcome 3 Speaking at the event, a seemingly disappointed Nana Patekar said, “I am not a part of it, maybe I have become outdated and that’s why they didn’t cast me for Welcome 3. Maybe, the makers of The Vaccine War don’t feel the same about me and that’s why they have roped me in. It’s that simple.” Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War marks Nana Patekar’s comeback to the big screen after five long years. He last played the antagonist in the 2018 film Kaala opposite superstar Rajinikanth. Hinting at his return with The Vaccine War, the actor went on to add, “The industry will never shut its door on you if you want to do good work. People will keep coming to you and offer you parts if you want to keep working hard. You need to know if you want to do a role.”
