Musician Jason Aldean cancels upcoming concerts in wake of Las Vegas mass shooting

Singer Jason Aldean announced that he would be cancelling his weekend shows after shooting at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival in Las Vegas.

Country singer Jason Aldean announced that he would be cancelling his weekend shows after shooting at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival in Las Vegas.

Aldean was performing on stage when the shooting occurred killing at least 59 people. Over 500 concert-goers were injured.

“I feel like out of respect for the victims, their families and our fans, it is the right thing to do. It has been an emotional time for everyone involved this week, so we plan to take some time to mourn the ones we have lost and be close with our family and friends,” Aldean said in a statement posted to his website and Twitter.

Aldean also gave a shout out his friends and fans for their support. “I want to say thank you for the outpouring of love from my friends and fans we have received over the last couple days. You guys have no idea how much you have helped us get through this tough time.”
