'Mujhe bhi jail jaana hai': Pakistani Salman Khan begs police to send him to jail

Fans worldwide have been in a state of depression since the Bollywood star’s verdict was announced by the Mumbai sessions court. Pending his bail hearing today, Salman Khan is all set to spend five years in jail for his hit and run case from 2002. [caption id=“attachment_2234064” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] ![Screen grab.](https://images.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/salman-fan-2.png) Screen grab.[/caption] Fans have reportedly been going on fasts and hold mass prayer sessions in the hope that their favourite actor avoids doing his jail time. But one fan in Pakistan has one-upped all the fans around the world. Husnain Saleem, who looks strikingly similar to Salman Khan, was videotaped by local pakistani news channels trying to convince the local police to arrest him as well. “I shall also go through the same pain as the real Salman Khan. “How unjust it is that Salman Khan has to go to jail and I remain free.” Obviously, the dumbfounded police officials refused to take him into custody and tried to reiterate to a distraught Husnain that his idol was sentenced according to Indian laws, not Pakistani. He, surprisingly, has all the Salman Khan mannerisms down as well. Publicity stunt or not, this Salman Khan fan’s pleas to go to jail are a definite must watch.
