Veteran actor and superstar Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mimoh made his Bollywood debut with the 2008 dud Jimmy. He was recently seen in Netflix’s Khakee: The Bengal Chapter and during a conversation with Digital Commentary, Mimoh spoke about his low phase.
The actor revealed, ‘There was a time when people would not even respond to dad, it was because of me. Today, I am a part of this industry. There are two things which are very real about our industry – one is that it is very professional, and because of that, you cannot mix emotions or obligations.’
He added, ‘Two, if you are united with them, they will stick by you. Just because I got Khakee, I cannot sit here and say that everybody is nice. Back then, I wouldn’t understand this, I would feel that if you aren’t replying to me, at least respond to Dad. Everything was going against.’
On Salman Khan and Karan Johar
Salman Bhai and Karan Johar, they are the only two who have actually helped me. Salman Bhai loves dad a lot, and whenever I message asking if I can meet him, he says, ‘aaja, come over’. I go and chill with him, he sits with me, gives me a lot of good advice. Karan Johar has gone out of his way to help me and Namashi, my brother. He has introduced me to so many people, connected me with so many people and agencies.
