'Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One' to 'Killers of the Flower Moon', films and shows on OTT this week

Like any other week, the second week of January 2024 promises to bring a fresh round of fascinating films and shows on OTT platforms. From Manoj Bajpayee and Konkana Sen Sharma’s crime-drama series ‘Killer Soup’ to Martin Scorsese’s award-winning film ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ and Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest series ‘Echo’, a lot of highly anticipated films and shows are set for a digital premiere this week on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+Hotstar, among others. However, things take a complex turn, leading to a series of unforeseen turmoils.

2. Killers of the Flower Moon

Martin Scorsese’s award-winning film ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ is also set for an OTT release this week. The film delves into the profound themes of greed, treachery, and the pursuit of justice.

3. Echo

The 10th instalment in the MCU’s television series, Echo, marks the return of Maya Lopez, picking up after the events of ‘Hawkeye’ in New York City. The show will revolve around how Maya, while facing the challenges of confronting her past, also engages with her native American heritage and family.

4. The Legend of Hanuman: Season 3

The third season of The Legend of Hanuman will premiere this week on Amazon Prime Video. This time, it will revolve around the transformation of Lord Hanuman into a ray of hope at a time when the power-hungry Ravana causes destructive rampages across the world. The show will also mark the incarnation of Lord Mahadev as Hanuman to serve Lord Rama.

5. Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One

Tom Cruise starrer Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One will be released this week on Amazon Prime Video. Originally released in theatres in July 2023, the film follows Tom Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt and his team as they track down a futuristic artificial intelligence-based enemy.
