After it was formally announced that Coldplay would perform alongside a line-up that includes the likes of Jay-Z, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor and A R Rahman. The first phase had a lucky draw of 10,000 tickets to be given out for free to fans who have completed the required ‘Action Journeys_’_ on the Global Citizen website_._ The o ther paid tickets were available at Rs 7,500, and Rs 15,000 which got sold out immediately. Now Global Citizen has launched the second Action Journey which went live on 26 September 2016, and will be active till Thursday 6 October 2016. It gives 10,000 fans a chance at winning the tickets. The actions will focus on Clean Water and Sanitation issues that are considered turnkey in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals: menstrual hygiene, open defection and fecal sludge management. In a press conference, Aamir Khan said, “The actions that Global Citizens take on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene issues will not only help to contribute towards ensuring that India fulfills its promise to be Open Defecation Free (ODF) by 2019, but will also contribute in the global momentum towards ensuring all have access to clean water and sanitation by 2030. We need young ethical leaders to commit to the change they want to see – Shuruaat hoon main_.”_
