Singer Miley Cyrus has unintentionally given her lovers - and her numerous haters - a slightly late Christmas present. The provocateur performer’s new video for her single, Adore You, ’leaked’ a day early than it was supposed to, and the singer was none too happy about it, eventually taking to Twitter to vent her ire.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

Those used to Cyrus’s usual antics might be slightly disappointed in the video - hasn’t everything she’s released since her twerking at the VMAs been slightly disappointing anyway? In this video, Cyrus is clad in a flesh-coloured pair of bra and underwear, obstensibly filming herself as she rolls around in white sheets. The singer looks alternately coquettish and aroused as she appears to (as many news outlets  have pointed out) simulate masturbation while looking at the camera. By now, you might have lost interest, and count of the things that Miley licks and bites - sheets, pillows, her own lips and her hair. The sledgehammer from her Wrecking Ball video, however, is missing, presumably still busy dealing with its post-traumatic stress disorder. The song, to be fair, is a fairly nice, lush pop ballad, but is let down by a boring video. Miley is prettier and more talented than she pretends to be in her manipulation of the social media echo chamber, so we wonder how many more of these videos we’ll have to tolerate before she grows up.
