Meghan Markle's father loses his leg, Duchess of Sussex's spokesperson says 'She has reached out to him'

Meghan Markle’s father father Thomas recently got his leg amputated in a life-saving surgery. The 81-year old underwent a three-hour surgery. His son Thomas Jr was quoted saying, “My dad is being very brave. His foot turned blue and then black. It happened very quickly. I took him to a local hospital and they did some scans and an ultrasound and said the leg had to be amputated.”

He added, “There was no option. I was told the leg had to be removed and it was a case of life or death.”

A spokesman for Meghan said: “I can confirm she has reached out to her father.” They have been estranged since her wedding with Prince Harry in 2018.

Tom Jr also said: “One of his doctors said the next two or three days are critical. His left leg has been removed below the knee. They were worried about infection setting in - sepsis or gangrene. The flesh was black and dying.”

Meghan Markle, the star from the popular show Suits, married Prince Harry and they both became the ‘Royal’ couple. She was given the title ‘Duchess of Sussex’ but if a report is to be believed, she could be stripped off the same if Prince William becomes the king. Markle could then unveil some dark and deep family secrets. Nothing about it has been confirmed yet.
