Deeply heartfelt story and performances,” Kapur posted on Twitter. An elated Ghaywan said Kapur has been the inspiration for budding filmmakers to experiment with their craft. “You ushered us in! Thank you for being an inspiration!,” he said. The film follows a group of people living in Varanasi, which reserves a cruel punishment for those who play with moral traditions. It is an Indo-French co-production produced by Manish Mundra, Macassar Productions, Phantom Films, Sikhya Entertainment, Arte France Cinema and Pathe productions.
