Manoj Bajpayee condemns rumours about Irrfan Khan's health, requests people to wait for official confirmation

While the Indian moviegoers and cinephiles are still trying to cope with the fact that legendary actress Sridevi is no more, another jolt hit them — that the phenomenal Irrfan Khan is suffering from a "rare" disease . On 5 March, the National Award winning actor revealed of his ailment through a Twitter post and since then the speculations around his health haven’t stopped. Manoj Bajpayee, like many others, took to Facebook and expressed concerns about his colleague. He also requested everyone to respect his privacy and asked everyone to stop spreading rumours.

Both Irrfan and Bajpayee are known for their stellar performances in films belonging to diverse genres. With multiple National Awards to their credit, Bajpayee and Irrfan have been successful in bridging the gap between commercial success and critical acclaim. Irrfan was last seen in Tanuja Chandra’s romantic comedy Qarib Qarib Singlle alongside Malayalam actress Parvathy. He will next be seen in the Amazon Prime Video series The Ministry and was supposed to start shooting for his next film with Vishal Bhardwaj. Bajpayee was last seen in Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary alongside Sidharth Malhotra. He played the roles of an army officer in a storyline that brings to the forefront corruption within the system.
