Main Tera Hero grosses Rs 22.73 cr in the opening weekend

Mumbai: Varun Dhawan’s ‘hero-giri’ in Main Tera Hero earned the entertainer a good opening of Rs 6.60 crore net on its first day of release in the country and the film minted a total of Rs 22.73 crore in the opening weekend. [caption id=“attachment_1469353” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Courtesy: Facebook[/caption] Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that the film did a good business despite cricket world cup.  Directed by David Dhawan and produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, the movie, which released last Friday also stars Ileana D’cruz and Nargis Fakhri. The actors had gone out of their way to promote the film, the songs of which received a good fan following prior to the movie’s release. A total David Dhawan-style masala entertainer, the film is being loved for its comedy and acting by Varun. Trade analyst Komal Nahta had taken to his Twitter page on  Friday to share feedback on the response to the film in the market.
