Acclaimed actor and director, Mahesh Manjrekar, will now be seen as the host on one of the most controversial shows on Indian television.
Mahesh Manjrekar was last seen on television on &TV’s 2015 show Agent Raghav — Crime Branch as Dilip Chauhan, and will now be hosting Bigg Boss Marathi. The show will go on air from 15 April this year. Mahesh Manjrekar is a superstar actor and director of the Marathi industry and has been chosen to be a part of the reality show.
Like any other Bigg Boss formats, the Marathi edition too will have celebrity contestants who will be under surveillance for the entirety of their stay. The voice of Bigg Boss will link the celebrities to the outside world, just like on the other versions of the show.
Bigg Boss is a popular reality show concept around the world. In India, the show has been made in Hindi, Bangla, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who recently wrapped up the eleventh season of the show, has been hosting the Hindi version of Bigg Boss for many years. Even South superstars like Sudeep, Kamal Haasan and Jr NTR made their television debut with Bigg Boss in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu respectively.
