Mahesh Babu to reunite with director Trivikram Srinivas after a decade for untitled project

South superstar Mahesh Babu is teaming up with director Trivikram Srinivas after a gap of 11 years for his next film, tentatively titled SSMB28.

The project will be their third film together after Athadu (2005) and Khaleja (2010). The makers announced the film on social media on Saturday, 1 May.

Slated to release in the summer of 2022, the yet-untitled project will be Mahesh Babu's 28th film. S Radha Krishna (Chinababy) is bankrolling via Haarika and Hassine Creations. 

Here is the announement 

Pooja Hegde will reportedly be paired opposite Mahesh Babu in SSMB28. However, the makers are yet to make any official announcement regarding its cast.

Hegde had earlier delivered films like Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava and Ala Vaikunthapurramloo with Trivikram. If the rumours are true, this will be her second film with Mahesh Babu after Maharshi which released in 2019.
