Madhuri Dixit Nene has been honoured with a ‘Special Recognition’ award at the 54th International Film Festival of India. The nine-day festival kickstarted on 20 November at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium in Panjim, Goa. Among all the celebrities who graced the opening ceremony of IFFI 2023, Madhuri Dixit was also one of those who took to the stage and performed on her iconic songs like Maar Daala, Dola Re Dola, and Aaja Nach Le. During the event, the actress was honoured with the ‘Special Recognition for Contribution to Bharatiya Cinema’ Award. Union Minister Anurag Thakur applauded the actress for her talent and also shared a post on social media.

Madhuri Dixit’s best films Dil (1990): One of her best-known films is the 1990 film Dil. Considered an iconic movie to date, Madhuri Dixit was cast opposite Aamir Khan in the romantic drama film as they played the roles of college-going lovebirds. Dil To Pagal Hai (1997): Another fan favourite is the 1997 film Dil To Pagal Hai which revolves around a love triangle between Shah Rukh Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Madhuri Dixit. Yet another iconic film directed by Yash Chopra and also one of the most loved films of Madhuri Dixit’s career, Dil To Pagal Hai was a big hit, thanks to the plot and songs that clearly connected with the fans.
Devdas (2002): One can never forget to talk about Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Devdas where Madhuri Dixit was seen in one of the leading roles of Chandramukhi.
