Luka Chuppi: 'Yeh Khabar Chhapva Do' to be rehashed for Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon's rom-com

Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan are currently preparing for the release of debutant director Laxman Utekar’s Luka Chuppi . New reports state that the feature will rehash ’90s chartbuster ‘Yeh Khabar Chhapva Do’. The song reportedly featurs Pankaj Tripathi along with the lead pair and was shot at a Vasai studio in Mumbai this week. The original version of ‘Yeh Khabar Chhapva Do’ was composed by Dilip Sen and Sameer Sen, and the vocals had been provided by Lalit Sen and Shweta Shetty. The lyrics were penned by Anand Bakshi. The original track was picturised on Akshay Kumar and Urmila Matondkar in 1997 romance drama Aflatoon. Aflatoon featured Akshay Kumar in a double role — as Raja who was a wastrel, always on the lookout for easy money and Rocky, a criminal. Urmila was Kumar’s love interest in the film. Luka Chuppi is primarily based in Mathura with Aaryan playing a reporter. His character is the quintessential good boy whom every girl would want take home. Kriti, on the other hand, plays a local girl who had gone to Delhi for her studies only to return to her hometown. Luka Chuppi , produced by Dinesh Vijan, is slated to release on 1 March.
