Lokah Chapter 1 on OTT: When & where Kalyani Darshan starrer will stream after becoming the highest Malayalam grosser of all-time

Kalyani Priyadarshan starrer Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, which emerged as the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time with over Rs 300 crore globally, beating Mohanlal-Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer L2: Empuraan, was slated to stream on Jio Hotstar during the Diwali weekend. However, the film is yet to be released on OTT, which is making the fans impatient.

Why the delay in release?

According to social media users, Lokah is still playing in cinemas, which is causing a delay in its OTT release. On the other hand, some are assuming that the release suits the Halloween period, and that might be the reason for its postponement.

Following the blockbuster success of its first chapter, the makers recently announced the second chapter, which will feature Tovino Thomas in the lead role. It will be directed by Dominic Arun and produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, who were also behind the first part. Just like Chapter 1, DQ will also make a cameo in Tovino Thomas’ starrer. While he will play the central character in the third part, Salmaan’s father and legendary superstar Mammootty will portray the lead role in the 4th chapter. The fifth and final chapter will bring an epic conclusion to this franchise.

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra also featured Naslen, Arun Kurian, Chandu Salimkumar, Nishanth Sagar, and Sarath Sabha in prominent roles.

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra revolves around a woman who uncovers mystical skills while facing personal hurdles. As evil surfaces, she must embrace her powers and fate in a shifting world. The music of the film is composed by Jakes Bejoy.
