Get ready, there’s another massive Kygo collaboration just around the corner. After the billboard topping single ‘ It Ain’t Me ’ with Selena Gomez, the Norwegian producer already has an impressive follow-up.

Kygo and Ellie Goulding both announced on their Instagram accounts on Thursday, 27 April, that their upcoming collaboration titled ‘First Time’, was being released.

This track is Goulding’s first release since ‘ Still Falling For You ’ which featured in the 2016 film Bridget Jones’s Baby, but Goulding is no stranger to working with electronic music producers. She has worked with ZEDD (‘Fall Into The Sky’) and Calvin Harris ( ‘I Need Your Love’ ) in the past, and though the collaborations were not tremendously successful, they did demonstrate how her style of singing was perfect for an EDM sound background. Third time lucky, we hope.

Kygo and Goulding’s collaboration, titled ‘First Time’ is a reflection on young love. “Getting drunk on a train track, way back when we tried our first cigarettes,” the British pop star sings on the tropical-tinged chorus. “Ten dollars was a fat stack, I’d do it all again.” There is a gentle drop, but this feels like it was created for radio instead of clubs.
