Lisa Ray to reportedly play a closeted lesbian in her web series debut, Amazon's Four More Shots Please!

Lisa Ray is set to make her digital debut with Amazon Prime Video’s webseries  _Four More Shots Please!_ . The actress will be seen essaying the role of a lesbian in the web series, also starring Sayani Gupta, Kirti Kulhari, Bani J and Maanvi Gagroo. Facebook[/caption] A source informed Mid-Day that Ray will be playing a superstar who is a closeted lesbian in the show. She has played a gay woman before in 2008 British romantic drama, I Can’t Think Straight, directed by Shamim Sarif. Four More Shots Please! revolves around the lives of four young urban Indian women. In the first season, the 10-part comedy, drama and romance series is anchored in the unceasing friendship between the four women and revolves around their relationships, work-life conflicts, ambitions and anxieties as they deal with being women in the India of 2018. Vijay Subramaniam, Director and Head, Content, Amazon Prime Video, India said in a statement, “Four More Shots Please! reflects the voices of the generation of Indian women who are independent in mind, body and thought. Created in collaboration with Rangita Pritish Nandy and produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, the show is directed by Anu Menon. Prateik Babbar, Neil Bhooplalam, Lisa Ray, Milind Soman, Amrita Puri and Sapna Pabbi are also part of the ensemble cast. The series will be available on the streaming platform from 25 January, 2019.
