Like father, like son: Sunny Deol's son will debut with Betaab sequel, co-star yet to be decided
Just as Sunny Deol started his innings in the film industry with Betaab, he wants his son Karan Deol to launch his career with a sequel of the film.
If rumours are to be believed, Sunny Deol wants his elder son to follow his footsteps in Bollywood. Just as the actor-turned-director started his innings in the film industry with Betaab, he wants his son Karan Deol to launch his career with a sequel of the film, which Daddy Deol would be directing himself.
But that's not all. Reports even suggest that Deol wanted to rope in Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara Ali Khan to star opposite his son in his debut film. It's all the more interesting since Amrita Singh was Deol's co-star in the original film.
However looks like it wasn't meant to be as Sara Ali Khan will reportedly be making her debut with Student Of The Year 2.
DNA reports, “The idea was to recreate the Betaab magic. Sunny even called up Amrita and told her he would like to cast Sara opposite Karan. However, it was not meant to be. Amrita had to turn down the offer as by then, Sara was already under contract with Dharma Productions.”
Karan has already made it into the industry after working as an assistant director for his family production house Vijayta Films.
We have only one take away from this piece of news. Looks like the Deol brothers have become rather narcissistic with time. While Sunny Deol keeps making sequels of his 90s hit films like Ghayal Once Again and now Betaab Again, younger brother Bobby was reported to be playing his own film, Gupt's songs on loop at a party in Delhi where he was the DJ for the night.
