'Let's meet in 2025': BTS' Suga begins military service, leaves emotional note for fans

After BTS members Jin and J-Hope, rapper Suga has now begun his military service. Taking to Weverse on Thursday, the BTS member shared a note for his fans and followers. As translated by an X user, Suga wrote, “Hello. This is Suga. I came to give you all my greetings! I have been able to come here (so far) because of ARMY, you all. And now the time has come.” The BTS rapper, also knows as Min Yoongi, went on to add, “I will come after finishing my service sincerely. Beware of the chilly weather from the season changing to autumn. Let’s keep being healthy and meet in 2025! ARMY!!!! Always, thank you and love you.” https://twitter.com/BTStranslation_/status/1704880918677119075 According to BTS agency BigHit Music, no official event was hosted before Suga left for the military service. Also termed as Bangtan Boys, BTS is a South Korean boy band formed in 2010. Soon after Suga ’s post, fans flocked to the comments section in no time and showered their love for the BTS boy. One of them stated, “And what if I cry Min Yoongi what if I cry gof I love him so much.” “I want to grow old with you, and i will wait until 2025,” wrote another. An individual said, “Yoongi Promise us to take care of yourself too! Let us stay happy and healthy until we meet again. We love you, always!” Another account noted, “How am i supposed to be okay after this.” BigHit Music earlier released a statement asking fans to refrain from visiting Suga at his workplace during the period of his service. The note added that there will be no official event on the day Suga starts his service. “We kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting Suga at his workplace during the period of his service. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts only,” the statement read. Notably, all able-bodied men must serve in the army, navy or air force in South Korea for 18-21 months. Other BTS members Jimin, Jungkook, RM and V will also join military service and are expected to reunite as a band around 2025.
