Lai Bhaari rules Maha box office, grosses Rs 10.55 cr in opening weekend

Lai Bhaari is perhaps the first Marathi film to have such a smashing opening at the box office in Maharashtra. The film that opened in theatres on 11 July, 2014 has reportedly grossed RS 3.10 cr in its opening day and did a business of Rs 10.55 crore in the first weekend.   Lai Bhaari is Riteish Deshmukh’s Marathi debut. An out-and-out masala film, the movie also has Salman Khan  making a guest appearance. Directed by Nishikant Kamat and produced by Deshmukh’s wife and actress Genelia D’Souza, Lai Bhari also features Radhika, Sharad Kelkar and Aditi Pohankar. Deshmukh’s last film Ek Villain was also well received by the audiences and his performance was lauded by the critics. He will next be seen in Bangistan with Pulkit Samrat.
