Krushna Abhishek’s comedy show, The Drama Company , is coming to an end after a two-month run. The show currently features Mithun Chakraborty, Ali Asgar, Sanket Bhosle and Sungandha Mishra apart from Abhishek, who is the main comedian. The show will go off air by the end of this month, reports India Today.

This is the second show that Sony Entertainment Television has wrapped up after The Kapil Sharma Show. Owing to inadequate TRPs, Sharma pulled the plug on the once-super successful show. The producers of The Drama Company maintain that the show was made with the intention of being seasonal.

However, things might start looking up for the channel soon, as speculations about Sunil Grover making a comeback on the channel are rife.

According to a report by Times of India , Grover’s show might feature Ali Asgar, Kiku Sharda and Mishra in pivotal roles. Although, there is no official word of confirmation around the show, the publication says that the actors have started rehearsing, as well.

Meanwhile, Sharma has gone on a sabbatical to focus on his deteriorating health. The ratings of the comedian’s show had started plummeting after which Abhishek was roped in for another show, in an attempt to revive the TRPs. However, The Drama Company, reportedly, could not do wonders to the channel’s ratings either.
