Koffee with Karan Season 5 is all set to bring yet another couple to its Koffee couch. The host and filmmaker Karan Johar has managed to rope in actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput to appear on his show. Kapoor confirmed the news when he shared a selfie with Rajput from the sets of the show. It was earlier reported that Kapoor will shoot for the show in mid-December after his shooting schedule of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati wraps up. However, it seems that Kapoor has taken time off from the shoot to spend time with his wife. The Indian Express caught the two lovebirds on a date at a Bandra cafe a few days ago.This will be Rajput’s television debut and she will be the first non-celebrity guest to be featured on the show. She got married to Kapoor last year and gave birth to a baby girl Misha a few months ago. Interestingly, Kapoor has appeared on all the previous seasons of the show with his (rumoured) girlfriends, barring the first season when he shared the couch with Esha Deol. In the following three seasons, he appeared alongside Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha. This is the second couple that will appear on this season, the first being actor-turned-columnist Twinkle Khanna and actor Akshay Kumar in Episode 2. Along with Kapoor, actor Salman Khan has also tweeted a picture from the sets of the chat show. In what is touted as the 100th episode of the show, Salman will share the couch with his younger brothers actors and filmmakers Arbaaz and Sohail. The picture transports us back to Season 2 when the three Kapoor brothers, Rishi, Rajiv and Randhir appeared together on the show.

In other permutations and combinations, Kareena Kapoor Khan will share the couch with Veerey Di Wedding co-star Sonam Kapoor. Also, real life BFFs filmmaker Farah Khan and tennis player Sania Mirza will appear on the show. Actor Katrina Kaif was rumoured to be on the show with ex-beau Salman but now that we know who Khan is appearing with, Kaif might share the couch with Baar Baar Dekho co-star Siddharth Malhotra or not appear on the show at all. Similarly, actor Priyanka Chopra is rumoured to go solo on the show whereas her Hollywood contemporary Deepika Padukone might appear with xXx: The Return of Xander Cage co-star Vin Diesel. The fifth episode of Koffee with Karan Season 5 will air on 4 December featuring Aditya Roy Kapur and his Daawat-e-Ishq co-star Parineeti Chopra.
