They said it best, when they said nothing at all.

This episode of Koffee with Karan, with leading ladies Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, could possibly go down as the most diplomatic of the season, with neither of the actresses spilling any beans, so to speak. But does that mean it was a boring episode? Absolutely not.

With Anushka natural charm, and Katrina's adopted wit (she was surprisingly humourous on the show), this episode revealed more about the actresses' friendship and their professional journey, and less about the people they surround themselves with.

Katrina started the show by stating what we've all been feeling: that nobody really speaks the gospel truth on Koffee with Karan, and one shouldn't expect it either. "I can seem the camera right there, nobody is speaking the utmost truth," she said.

Both actresses revealed that they aren't the best of friends, and while their whatsapp messages are short, their friendship is strong. What's their bonding point? Both are equally anti-social, and tend to zone people out.

Koffee with Karan season 5: Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif were diplomatic, but a laugh riot

Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif on the show.

Arjun Kapoor made a quick entry midway through the show, for a round of Kiss Arjun (where the actresses had to kiss Arjun for every instance that was true). It was then revealed that Arjun had a thing for Anushka, and that Katrina tried to tie a rakhi to Arjun for two years in a row, but was very unsuccessful.

For every cliched question, there was one cliched answer, but one very witty answer as well. When Karan Johar asked the girls if they believed in the number game, Anushka said, "I don't. I think it's derogatory".

However, Katrina completely stumped us with her answer," I fully believe in the number game as long as I'm number one. If i'm not, I don't believe in it. [pause] Anushka may slap me now!"

Katrina seemed to be on a mission to be witty, curt and unabashed on the show. She spoke about how Arjun and Varun Dhawan had an "I hate Katrina" club because of something to do with Salman Khan, and even spoke about how men react when they're rejected (read: like idiots).

On the other hand, there was a point when Anushka was just making everyone laugh.

When Karan revealed that he had a crush on her during the making of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, she said, "I'm really flattered, because if I can do that — well then..." and also went on a rant about how she finds men who just waltz around bare-chested completely off-putting (we feel you, Anushka).
