Koffee with Karan: Cricket no longer a gentleman's game? Twitter bashes Hardik Pandya for misogynistic statements
Cricketers KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya made their debut appearance on Karan Johar's infamous chat show Koffee with Karan season 6 on 6 January. While one side of Twitter is bashing the cricketers for choosing Virat Kohli as the better batsman over Sachin Tendulkar, the other has criticised Hardik for his misogyny and obnoxious attitude.
As the host spoke to the cricketers about their personal lives, Hardik spoke how his family were open and "cool" when it came to discussing his sex life. He narrated an incident where he had gone to a party with his parents and they had asked him about which women he had a "scene" with there. He said, "And I actually had to tell them. 'This one. This one. This one."
He also spoke about losing his virginity and declaring it to his parents, "Aaj mai kar ke aaya." (I did it today)
This is so classic! All guys are offended that Hardik Pandya chose Virat over Sachin and not by his absolutely disgusting, classless, misogynist behaviour. #KoffeeWithKaran

It might have been fun initially to watch two young sportsmen letting their guards down, but the obnoxious and misogynist attitude of Hardik Pandya just was too much to take in. At one time, cricket was called a gentleman's sport. Where has all the class gone? #KoffeeWithKaran — Medha Chatterjee (@moldyshorts16) January 6, 2019
Imagine going to your mother n talking about losing your virginity saying "aaj mai kar ke aaya"
Like seriously Hardik Pandya chhichhore.. there's a fine line between cool and creepy! Wish aunty taught him some humility too..
Money can't buy you manners!sigh

Someone please tell Hardik Pandya that what he thinks is a 'cool-idgaf-badboy' image comes out as nothing but creepy and gross. — n. (@FeistyFangirlx) January 6, 2019
Watching @koffeewithkaran, a show so entertaining and a mass favourite was a huge disappointment today. Mr Cool objectifying women around him seemed like a coffee affair passed away in few giggles. Sadly, He represents our National Team.#HardikPandya #koffeewithkaran

#HardikPandya comes across really badly in the #KoffeeWithKaran episode. His additude and views on women were really cringy.Bad timing aswell, exspecially since his position in the #IndianCricketTeam is uncertain. Totally unessasary going on the show! Choosing Virat over Sachin should be the least point of concern here. The way Hardik Pandya objectified women is something to worry about. What an UNCOMFORTABLE episode it was. NOT COOL AT ALL. Gotta watch some old RAHUL DRAVID's interview to detox now.#KoffeeWithKaran — NikhiL (@nikhflix) January 6, 2019
The first ever episode of #KoffeeWithKaran where I couldn’t sit through the one-hour show ... #HardikPandya proved he is a 9th standard failure ... no education, no etiquette & no respect towards women ... what a waste of time!!!

I know #HardikPandya is star and all but @BCCI should teach him how to show some respect for women. You can't say on National television that " Waah Aaj tu karke aaya hai " (Sex) there are lot of people who thinks you as their inspiration.Treating women like another MOM trophy.

Yikes! Today's #KoffeeWithKaran was extremely cringe worthy. Along with developing batting skills & team spirit, someone needs to teach these boys, especially Hardik Pandya, how to interact with women. Women aren't another record or trophy that you try to achieve, Hardik! — Rish (@desi_mulgi) January 6, 2019
Watching #KoffeeWithKaran @karanjohar As usual Karan is super fun.But from the way #HardikPandya is talking,it seems that women,by the dozens, are only objects of desire.Swag is good, but does this kinda swag befit a man who plays for the NationalTeam #Distasteful @BCCI @imVkohli
