Actors Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora have been dating for quite some time now. While they initially kept their relationship under wraps, it was finally in 2019 that they made it Insta official. However, the two have had their own share of criticism and trolling on social media. From people commenting on their PDA photos to making fun of their age differences, Arjun and Malaika’s relationship continues to remain a target of trollers. Speaking on the same, the Half Girlfriend actor during his latest stint on Koffee with Karan 8 not only opened up about being trolled but also spilled beans about marriage plans with Malaika Arora. Arjun Kapoor speaks on ‘marriage plans’ with Malaika Arora
It began with Karan Johar asking Arjun whether he and Malaika are planning to take their relationship to the next level.
“I think at this point, and as much as I love coming on your show and being as honest and sincere about it, I think this is part of my life that right now I want to take it as it comes,” Arjun said further adding it would be most respectful if he and Malaika talk about it together.
“I think it’s unfair to be sitting here without her and talking about the future. I think that would be the most respectful thing. Once we reach that stage, we will come and talk about it together. I’m very very happy where I am and I think we make no bones about the fact that we survived through whatever we’ve had to be in this comfortable happy space,” the actor said.
‘I try to detach myself from their reactions’, Arjun Kapoor on facing trolls
The actor also spoke about facing a lot of trolling on social media and said, “What is important to understand is that you will be affected. No person is not being affected, it is about dealing with it. It also shows their upbringing and their culture. Those people who are putting up random comments, you also know that they are trying to get your attention. So earlier, I used to get a bit worked up and wanted to respond all the time. Then I realised that I have to allow it to sink in, to understand the reason why these desperate people are trying to get my attention and try to detach myself from their reaction.”
Aditya Roy Kapur who also joined Arjun on the couch chimed in and said, “They are the same people who want to click a selfie with you.”
