However, fans were a little surprised as the actor seemed a bit uninformed about a few basic details about Ananya’s life. From failing to recognise her pet dog to being a stranger to her father’s legendary character ‘Akhri Pasta’, Aditya’s responses in the recent episode of Koffee with Karan have prompted a series of reactions on social media, with a section of fans even upset. While Aditya guessed quite correctly that her dogs were missing, he failed to name one of them. It wasn’t it as he seemed quite clueless about ‘Akhri Pasta’ when Arjun Kapoor launched a veiled remark at him, saying, “There could be some aakhri pasta inside.” Teasing him back, Karan Johar quipped, “You will have aakhri pasta with Ananya after she sees this episode. Because you have not done adequate research on her daddy dearest.”

While some expressed disappointment over Aditya’s lack of knowledge about his supposed girlfriend, some also dubbed their relationship as a “PR Stunt.” Notably, this is not the only Ananya Panday mention in the episode. Karan Johar right into the promo was seen directly speaking about their dating rumours, to which Aditya slyly said, “Ask me no secrets and I’ll tell you no lies.” He was also seen praising Ananya, saying that she is “pure joy and bliss.”
