Chennai: The Akkineni family’s Telugu family drama Manam has beaten Vikramasimha, dubbed Telugu version of Kochadaiiyaan, at the box office in the opening weekend in Andhra Pradesh. However, the Rajinikanth starrer’s worldwide performance is quite good. Kochadaiiyaan has reportedly collected Rs 42 crore worldwide from all six languages in the opening weekend. According to trade analyst Trinath Vikramasimha received a mixed response from audiences because of the animation. “The film’s animation was criticised by audiences. They felt everything looked artificial in the film including Rajinikanth’s face,” he said. IANS
