Disney recently released the trailer of its live-action adaptation of the teen superhero show Kim Possible. The popular spy cartoon was launched on Disney channel in the 2000s. The narrative of the film will trace teenage sleuth Kim Possible as she tries hard to avert crime and evil plots while still trying to maintain some semblance of a normal life in the freshman year of high school.

17-year-old Sadie Stanley marks her screen debut as Kim Possible while Sean Giambrone steps into the shoes of clumsy-yet-adorable sidekick Ron Stoppable. The trailer depicts Kim using various spy gadgets which include the obligatory glass cutter and a compact winged jetpack. A particular scene in which depicts Kim and Ron arriving late to the class, most probably since the duo may be involved with espionage ‘business’ is hilarious to look at. Isaac Ryan Brown (of Raven’s Home) portrays the team’s tech prodigy Wade.

Since the adaptation is not an origin story, the narrative begins right in the middle of action with an already-adept Team Possible. The trailer instead focuses on team debutante Athena (Ciara Wilson), an avid fan of Kim. Supervillains Dr Drakken (Todd Stashwick) and Shego (Taylor Ortega) expectantly return as the team’s enemies.
