The box office collections for Yash’s Christmas weekend offering _KGF: Chapter 1_ has been on a steady rise since it hit the theatres on 21 December. The Hindi version of the action-extravaganza earned Rs 4.30 crore on Christmas Day, surpassing its collections since the opening day. The Kannada film, as per India Today, has even crossed the much-hyped Shah Rukh Khan film Zero. Moreover, it has also become the highest grosser in US for a Kannada film.

The Hindi-dubbed film, which opened with Rs 2.10 crores has continued its momentum despite competition from Zero and the Dhanush-fronted Maari 2. Interestingly, the film has garnered immense success in Karnataka and is only second to SS Rajamouli’s duology.
