Back in 2008, YRF made Bachna Ae Haseeno helmed by Siddharth Anand of War and Pathaan fame. It marked Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s second film of their careers, and also starred Bipasha Basu and Minnisha Lamba. It has been revealed by Katrina Kaif and Anand before how she too was a part of the film and her role was cut. And the same was confirmed by the actress again in an interview with Midday.
Also, back in 2008, ahead of the release of the film, when the director was asked to explain the reason behind the same, he elaborated, “ Nobody had the heart to break the news to her. When she heard she was out, Katrina was really upset. What to do? In fact, Katrina’s track was one of our favourites, but she saw our point of view when she saw the film," Anand told IANS.
He added, “The only reason we dropped the Katrina track was because it hadn’t been shot. Otherwise, she’s the biggest star we’ve in our film. Katrina has had only one flop in her entire career. Dropping her track had upset all of us.”

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s wedding became one of the most talked about things on the internet. The two after secretly dating for a couple of years tied the knot in December 2021. While Katrina is now happily married to Vicky Kaushal, there was also a time when the Merry Christmas actress found it difficult to deal with her personal life, especially her relationships and her breakups. In an old interview with DNA, Katrina not only shared insights into navigating the challenges of breakups but also explained how the experience shaped her mindset.
Katrina Kaif on navigating breakups
“My take on love is never going to change. I feel my views on love have grown and evolved. I have learned to deal with relationships and people, learned to be less selfish, more giving, more supportive of a person’s dream or supportive of a person’s internal growth, and most importantly understanding the person better.” she said further adding she has been more mature.
